About The Position

TYLin is seeking a Senior Construction Inspector for its growing PMCM team in Indianapolis. The position supports water and wastewater distribution and underground construction projects, including watermain and lead service line replacements, as well as sewer and manhole lining projects. The inspector serves as the Owner’s representative, observing, inspecting, and documenting underground utility construction and ensuring work complies with design plans, specifications, and permit requirements.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a construction-related field, or equivalent field experience.
8–10+ years of experience in water or transportation engineering consulting, performing studies, design, and construction services for municipal, state, or private clients.
Experience using GSP equipment.

Responsibilities

Observe, inspect, and document underground utility construction as the Owner’s representative.
Ensure construction complies with design plans, specifications, and permit requirements.
Document contractor progress and maintain accurate quantity records.
Process payment requests, generate punch lists, and certify completion status.
Create and track work orders for each project.
