About The Position

Flex is seeking a Senior Consolidation Accountant to support SpinCo, a new independent publicly traded company focused on digital infrastructure, delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission-critical applications. The spin is planned for Q1 2027. This role will be based in Austin, TX headquarters and will ensure the accurate compilation, analysis, and reporting of financial data. The accountant will also assist with developing, implementing, and maintaining systems, procedures, and policies to ensure accurate data in compliance with corporate and legislative requirements.

Requirements

  • CPA
  • BA/BS in Accounting (or equivalent).
  • 5 years of experience in a financial reporting/accounting role at a public company or a public accounting firm
  • Good communication skills (both verbal and written) and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and its application are essential.
  • Good time management skills and should be able to remain organized under periods of reporting pressure.
  • Ability to collaborate with senior management, corporate tax, external auditors, internal auditors, and various departments within the company.
  • Ability to think independently, perform own research on issues, and come up with suggested resolutions to be presented to supervisor.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

  • Big Four experience is a plus.
  • Experience with the consolidation system such as OneStream is a plus.
  • Experience with Workiva is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and manage monthly, quarterly and annual close activities including journal entries and financials preparation for executive leadership.
  • Assist with the preparation of consolidated financial statements and perform variance analysis on certain critical accounts.
  • Assist with preparation of financials and related workpaper required for 8K/earnings release.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders including Finance, Tax, Treasury, Internal Audit and other corporate functions serving as a liaison for accounting, reporting, and compliance activities.
  • Correspond directly with external auditors and provide requested schedules to auditors to support necessary audit requirements.
  • Perform technical research on various accounting issues and provide accounting consultation advice to business partners under US GAAP.
  • Oversight of other general departmental-specific responsibilities including, among others, variance analyses tied to monthly close and compliance with the internal control requirements of SOX.
  • Support special projects as necessary, such as purchase accounting matters related to merger and acquisition activities, corporate restructurings and intercompany activity.
  • Assist with preparation of footnotes/MD&A for Form 10Q/K SEC filings as well as other SEC filings.
