About The Position

The Consolidation Accountant plays a key role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting through detailed reconciliations, management of intercompany accounts, and support of month-end close activities. This role focuses heavily on general ledger integrity, vendor-related reconciliations, and cleanup efforts, while contributing to high-quality financial statements and reporting within a dynamic, hybrid work environment.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in account reconciliation, including general ledger and sub-ledger reconciliations.
  • Hands-on experience with intercompany accounting and intercompany balance reconciliations.
  • Proficiency in general ledger accounting and month-end close processes.
  • Ability to prepare, review, and post journal entries accurately and on time.
  • Experience with financial reporting, including preparation and review of financial statements and balance sheets.
  • Knowledge of bank reconciliations, accrual accounting, and fixed asset accounting.
  • Ability to work with reconciliation of vendor statements and vendor account cleanup activities.
  • Comfort working with financial data in tools such as pivot tables for analysis.
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Ability to support audit-related requests through accurate documentation and reconciliations.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Dynamics AX or D365 is a significant plus and highly valued.
  • Experience with other Dynamics platforms is considered an additional advantage.
  • Familiarity with consolidation software such as DeFacto is beneficial.
  • Experience using Microsoft Access for data management and reporting is a plus.
  • Experience in financial reporting and audit support is desirable.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, data-driven environment and adapt to evolving processes.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Perform reconciliations of local ledgers to the consolidation software DeFacto to ensure accurate consolidation and financial reporting.
  • Complete various reconciliations related to intercompany accounts and intercompany balance reconciliations to maintain accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  • Conduct vendor statement reconciliations to verify outstanding balances and ensure vendor accounts are properly maintained.
  • Execute vendor cleanup activities following Tax Identification Number (TIN) check results, including updating records and resolving discrepancies.
  • Manage escheatment processes and take action on aged checks, coordinating these efforts with vendor statement reconciliations to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Reconcile expired ghost card transactions to ensure proper recording and resolution of outstanding items.
  • Support general ledger activities, including review and maintenance of accounts to ensure integrity of financial data.
  • Assist with month-end close processes by preparing and posting journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and supporting financial reporting deadlines.
  • Contribute to the preparation and review of financial statements, balance sheets, and other financial reports to support internal and external reporting requirements.
  • Support financial reporting and audit activities by providing accurate reconciliations, documentation, and responses to inquiries.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and accrual-related entries to ensure cash and expense accounts are properly stated.
  • Maintain and reconcile fixed asset records to support accurate depreciation and asset reporting.
  • Utilize tools such as pivot tables and Microsoft Access, as needed, to analyze financial data and support reporting and reconciliation tasks.
