About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking Senior Computer Aided Measuring Specialists to join the CAMS Loft Tooling & TRACC team in Berkeley, MO. This role provides computer-aided measurement services including measurement collection, dimensional analysis and reporting, modeling, and system maintenance on a self-directed level. The specialist will also provide training, facilitate deployment, and lead teams in application for all tasks. They will be proficient with Verisurf - 3D metrology software and provide fabrication support for tooling, emergent products, production, prototype, and engineering operations. This involves measurement collection, dimensional analysis and reporting, modeling, system maintenance, and consultation. The role requires the ability to collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data, summarize findings, and develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources.

Requirements

5+ years of experience working with laser trackers or a CMM (coordinate measurement machine)
3+ years of operating Coordinate Measurement Machines (CMM)
3 + years of experience with metrology software such as Polyworks, Spatial Analyzer or Verisurf
3+ years experience with drawing, reading and interpreting Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Knowledge of computer aided design tools and manufacturing systems (e.g., computer aided design/computer aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM), computer aided three dimensional interactive (CATIA), Mentor Graphics, Unigraphics). Able to manipulate data sets, (e.g., compare CATIA to measurement data, create stereo lithography files)
Knowledge of tool functions and capabilities (e.g., indexing, fixturing, handling) to support the manufacturing processes and flow
Knowledge of manufacturing, methods, fabrication processes (e.g., forming, stamping, machining, heat treatment, machines/machine tools, cutting tools and fluids, N/C programming, instrumentation, data acquisition and control systems).
Ability to select the best method of producing parts, tools or assemblies
Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
