Requirements

  • Must have a degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) discipline and 4+ years of direct related experience (additional experience can reduce or negate the requirement for a degree)
  • Knowledge of components used in the Electronics Industry
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work on a cross-functional team
  • US Citizen

Nice To Haves

  • Candidates with Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Past experience as a Component or Application Engineer
  • Experience with creating part specifications
  • Familiar with industry standards (IPC, ASTM, JEDEC)

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for creating and maintaining component data
  • Work with a variety of components and materials used in military airborne tactical radios
  • Provide technical leadership to Design Engineers, Purchasing, Quality & Program Managers to resolve component issues regarding obsolescence, technical changes, part shortages or failures
  • Perform BOM Analysis on new designs
  • Provide technical support in the resolution of complex commodity issues in a design and manufacturing environment
  • Create and update documentation needed to support Program requirements
