About The Position

The Senior Compliance Coordinator facilitates the delivery of core services provided by the E&S Compliance Team of W.R. Berkley Corporation. This role reports to the Director of the E&S Compliance Team and is primarily responsible for processing the intake of key communications concerning the businesses served. The Senior Compliance Coordinator may also support or document compliance by the businesses served by the E&S Compliance Team.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
  • Minimum two-three years of experience in insurance or a related business.
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite of products: Word; Excel; Outlook; Teams.
  • Good organization skills and a strong attention to detail.
  • Must have analytical skills, being able to problem-solve, perform basic research, obtain and analyze data.
  • Must have strong learning agility, must be able to learn new tasks quickly.
  • Must be able to work hours needed, (Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., MST).

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree or some college preferred.
  • Insurance coursework is preferred.
  • Legal assistant or paralegal training is desirable.
  • Copying, scanning, filing and coordinating mailings.

Responsibilities

  • Processing all physical mail and emails received into the department mailboxes, maintaining the related computer systems, and answering phone calls, Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., MST.
  • Responding to voicemails received into the department line.
  • Premium by broker state reporting for surplus lines for assigned companies.
  • Assisting with tracking continuing education credits and updating spreadsheets, as needed.
  • Participating in agency licensing projects from an administrative standpoint.
  • Maintaining Department calendars in Teams.
  • Testing system upgrades to BPMI to ensure updates have processed successfully to production site.
  • Assisting with suggesting updates to the system, as needed.
  • Assisting with administration and filing of responses to various states for consumer complaints.
  • Performing claims document production, preparation, and organization of file materials to be included with responses.
  • Processing all OFAC reviews received into Lexis Nexis Bridger system for all companies that are incorporated into Excess and Surplus Group Compliance Team.
  • Processing manual OFAC alerts, as needed.
  • Assisting with processing Medicare spreadsheets, as needed and requested.
  • Other duties, as assigned.
