About The Position

The Senior Compliance Analyst is a non-supervisory role in Earthjustice’s General Counsel’s Office. The analyst will build and manage a centralized system to track, coordinate, and support regulatory compliance obligations for Earthjustice (501(c)(3)), Earthjustice Action (501(c)(4)), and Earthjustice Action’s associated political committees. The analyst works with the Office of General Counsel, Policy and Legislation, Finance, Human Resources, and other stakeholders to gather information, monitor filing triggers and deadlines, coordinate accurate and timely submissions, and improve cross-functional coordination. The analyst prepares filings, conducts preliminary reviews, manages reviews of vendor-prepared filings, and works with counsel on legal interpretation and advice. The position is full-time at 37.5 hours per week and hybrid from either the Washington, D.C. or San Francisco, California office. The work includes developing compliance infrastructure and controls; coordinating lobbying, ballot, and nonprofit advocacy activity; administering multi-state employer and organizational compliance; supporting Earthjustice Action electoral, ballot measure, and PAC compliance; and pursuing professional development. The stated responsibility percentages are guidelines, and other duties may be assigned.
