Sr. Compliance Analyst

Earthjustice•Washington, DC
•$83,000 - $108,400

About The Position

The Senior Compliance Analyst is a non-supervisory role within Earthjustice’s General Counsel’s Office. The position builds and manages a centralized system to track, coordinate, and support regulatory compliance obligations for Earthjustice (501(c)(3)), Earthjustice Action (501(c)(4)), and Earthjustice Action’s associated political committees. The work is intended to reduce legal, financial, and reputational risk by coordinating high-risk filing, registration, reporting, recordkeeping, and deadline-management obligations across departments. The role initially focuses on federal and state campaign finance compliance; electoral and political action committee compliance; federal and state lobbying compliance; and multi-state employer compliance. The analyst works with the Office of General Counsel, Policy and Legislation, Finance, Human Resources, vendors, and other stakeholders to gather information, track filing triggers and deadlines, prepare and coordinate accurate, timely submissions, and improve cross-functional coordination. The analyst prepares filings directly, conducts preliminary reviews, manages reviews of vendor-prepared filings, and works with counsel on legal interpretation and advice. The position is full-time at 37.5 hours per week and may be hybrid or remote. For hybrid applicants, Earthjustice prefers individuals based in Washington, D.C., or San Francisco, California. Salary depends on work location and experience: $97,600–$108,400 in San Francisco; $92,700–$103,000 in Washington, D.C.; and $83,000–$108,400 for remote locations, depending on the candidate’s location.
