About The Position

The Inland Real Estate Group is seeking an experienced Senior Compensation Analyst to play a key role in shaping and advancing our compensation strategies across the organization. This role partners closely with the People Team, Finance, and business leaders to ensure our compensation programs are competitive, compliant, and aligned with Inland’s business objectives. This position offers strong visibility across the organization and has the opportunity to evolve into a Total Rewards role over time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in compensation, with broader Human Resources Generalist exposure
  • Strong working knowledge of employment and compensation-related laws and regulations (including ERISA, COBRA, ACA, IRS, DOL, ADA, FMLA, and FLSA)
  • Proven experience working with HRIS/HCM systems, particularly Ceridian Dayforce (compensation and benefits modules)
  • Advanced analytical skills with strong attention to detail
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present data clearly to diverse audiences

  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP)

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the market data expert, owning all aspects of compensation data, analysis, reporting, updates, and audits
  • Lead annual benchmarking cycles by analyzing market data, industry trends, and best practices
  • Develop, adjust, and maintain salary structures and ranges, ensuring internal equity and market competitiveness
  • Conduct job evaluations and recommend job classifications across all levels (non-exempt, exempt, managerial, and executive)
  • Ensure compensation practices comply with applicable federal, state, and local regulations
  • Build strong partnerships with leaders to understand job functions, organizational structure, and business needs
  • Prepare and analyze compensation and benefits reports, including monthly HR metrics, and present insights in a clear, compelling way
  • Support compensation survey participation and competitive analysis efforts
  • Partner with Recruiting on offer development and compensation-related guidance
  • Collaborate with Finance to manage compensation budgets throughout the year
  • Support annual merit review cycles, pay equity analysis, and compensation review processes
  • Develop compensation communications and data-driven insights for leaders
  • Create and enhance analytics, dashboards, and ad hoc reporting related to compensation and people data
  • Stay current on compensation trends, regulatory updates, and evolving best practices
