About The Position

Valley Mountain Regional Center is pleased to announce an opportunity for a Senior Community Services Liaison to join their Community Services team in the Resource Development Department. This role is ideal for an experienced professional ready to take a leadership role in community resource development, provider support, and program oversight. The position requires strong knowledge of Title 17, collaboration with providers and internal teams, and a passion for strengthening services for individuals. The role involves supporting and developing community resources, reviewing and guiding program design, coordinating provider and program changes, training and collaboration, serving as a resource to staff, and participating in recruitment and pre-vendorization activities.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 18 months experience as a Service Coordinator or Community Services Liaison at a regional center OR Two (2) years experience in a case-carrying or administrative role with significant contact with residential facilities or evaluation systems in a social or human services organization serving dependent populations (e.g., Mental Health, Ombudsman)
  • Experience as direct care staff or administrator of a licensed residential facility may substitute on a year-for-year basis
  • Strong organizational, written communication, and collaboration skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet reporting deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Assist in monitoring Community Placement Plan (CPP) and community resource development projects, including RFP screenings, strategic plans, and expenditure budgets.
  • Track grant dollars, monthly progress, accounting reports, and complete required state reports such as the SSRS vacancy report for DDS.
  • Conduct program design reviews for residential, day programs, and supportive living services.
  • Proofread and edit program design drafts to ensure compliance with Title 17 regulations and program design guidelines.
  • Provide written feedback, technical assistance, and maintain program design tools and templates.
  • Coordinate and approve facility administrator changes, Level IV Residential Consultant changes, and Negotiated Residential Consultant changes.
  • Prepare and distribute New Provider Summaries to staff.
  • Coordinate and assist with trainings for new providers, current vendors, and staff.
  • Participate in and support the Community Resource Screening Committee for placements into Level IV and Negotiated homes.
  • Provide support to Quality Assurance Liaisons regarding complex residential issues (at management’s discretion).
  • Communicate trends, concerns, and systemic issues to leadership and VMRC staff.
  • Participate in recruitment and pre-vendorization activities, including site visits, review of geographic considerations, transportation resources, and school district boundaries.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.
