About The Position

HoneyBook is seeking a Senior Community Leader to manage and grow its community of over 100,000 members. This role involves running programs, building relationships, and managing the ecosystem to foster engagement, advocacy, and connection among service-based business owners. The ideal candidate is passionate about digital communities, experienced in growing them, identifying potential evangelists, and building an educational content engine. They should also be comfortable organizing in-person events like meetups and workshops. The role focuses on community engagement and growth, product adoption, and top-of-funnel activities.

Requirements

  • 8+ years in community management or community marketing.
  • At least 2 years in a senior individual contributor or team lead role.
  • Proven track record building and scaling high-engagement digital and in-person communities at a SAAS or SMB brand.
  • Experience designing and running live programming (meetups, workshops, activations) with a focus on repeatability.
  • Strong program design instincts with a focus on measurement.
  • Excellent communication skills (writing, presentation, executive and member interaction).
  • Hands-on fluency with AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, or similar) and a proactive approach to integrating them.
  • Growth mindset and ownership instinct.
  • Familiarity with data infrastructure (CRM connections, Snowflake, LLM indexing) and experience partnering with technical teams.
  • Experience building programs that connect community engagement directly to product adoption metrics and top-of-funnel growth.
  • Deep affinity for small business owners (photographers, event planners, designers, consultants, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Own the business outcomes for the community, defining success metrics and holding yourself accountable.
  • Own and grow the core digital community platform, driving engagement, conversation quality, knowledge sharing, and peer-to-peer interaction.
  • Serve as community moderator and cultural leader, facilitating discussions, surfacing member content, and running product-focused activations online and in person.
  • Develop strategies to convert active members into brand evangelists through recognition programs.
  • Own the community LLM discoverability strategy, ensuring content is structured, indexed, and surfaced in AI-powered search results.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with members, understanding their business needs and product pain points.
  • Mentor peers and collaborators, act as the domain expert for community strategy, and shape HoneyBook's approach to community investment.
