Gestionnaire de Community Senior / Senior Community Manager

Botpress Technologies Inc.Montreal, QC
Onsite

About The Position

Botpress is hiring a Senior Community Manager to own our presence on the two channels we believe matter most for the next phase of our growth: YouTube and Reddit — while keeping our LinkedIn and Discord presence healthy alongside them. This is a maker's role for a self-starter. You'll decide where Botpress should show up and then make it happen — scripting and capturing video, writing the Reddit thread that earns real upvotes, building brand density in the places that compound. You'll create video yourself, and you'll have access to freelancers and an agency to deliver polished final cuts when the moment calls for it — so the priority is owning the idea and the channel, not personally mastering every frame. We need someone versatile. You should be strong on our priority channels and genuinely able to do the other things too — we can't have someone so specialized in one lane that the rest falls over. Equal parts strategist and doer, comfortable owning a plan and shipping the work behind it.

Requirements

  • A true self-starter — you spot the opportunity, make the plan, and do the work without waiting to be told. You roll up your sleeves and you're not precious about any task
  • Able to create video — concept, script, and capture scrappy UGC-style content — and able to brief and direct freelancers or an agency to land the polished final cut. You don't need to be a master editor; you need to own the output
  • Strong, demonstrable Reddit fluency — you understand the platform's culture and mechanics and have built authentic brand presence there (bring examples)
  • Versatile across channels — strong on the priorities, capable on the rest. We're not hiring a narrow specialist
  • 5+ years in community, social, or content, with a real track record of building engaged audiences from the ground up
  • A concrete example of how you've used AI to amplify your impact as a community or content lead — specifically, not theoretically
  • Sharp instincts for brand voice, judgment under pressure, and what makes the internet care

Nice To Haves

  • Experience at a developer-tools, AI, SaaS, or platform company
  • Familiarity with SEO and the emerging GEO / AI-visibility space
  • Experience running LinkedIn advocacy and/or a community platform like Discord
  • A personal audience or body of public work — a channel, a following, a portfolio of content that performed
  • Genuine fluency in the AI / LLM ecosystem — you actually use this stuff

Responsibilities

  • Own Botpress' YouTube channel: strategy, cadence, and the content itself
  • Concept, script, and capture UGC-style video — scrappy and authentic, not studio-polished — and brief/direct freelancers or an agency to deliver the final product when it makes sense
  • Understand YouTube as a discovery and retention engine — hooks, thumbnails, search intent, watch time — and use it to show the product in the wild, answer real builder questions, and give Botpress a human face
  • Build Botpress' presence across the subreddits where builders, developers, and AI-curious teams actually spend time — through authentic, genuinely valuable participation
  • Treat community surface area as an organic growth engine: Reddit threads and YouTube videos are now primary sources both search engines and AI answer engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews) pull from
  • Partner with our SEO/content team so this work feeds directly into our SEO and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) strategy — making Botpress the answer AI tools reach for
  • Keep these healthy and growing
  • Run our LinkedIn presence primarily as an employee-advocacy program — turning the expertise of founders, leaders, and team members into a steady stream of posts worth reading
  • Build light systems and support that make it easy for the team to show up consistently and on-brand
  • Steward our existing 30,000-member Discord community — keep it healthy, and bring a point of view on what role it should play for the brand going forward
  • Manage proactive and reactive engagement, and handle the occasional reactive moment with judgment and a steady hand
  • Use AI as a force multiplier across everything — research, scripting, editing, ideation, analysis. We build AI agents; we expect you to live this
  • Bring analytical rigor: set goals, track what's working, and double down on what compounds
  • Be the strategist and the executor — equally at home in a planning doc and in the editor at 11pm shipping the thing

Benefits

  • 4 weeks of vacation
  • Paid sick and parental leave
  • Comprehensive health, dental, vision, travel, and life insurance
  • Funding for education and skills improvement
  • Fully-stocked fridge and cupboard – we take snacks seriously
  • Your own desk – no 'hot-desk'-style sign-up systems
  • A vibrant office community, including weekly socials
