About The Position

Vention is seeking a Project Manager - Major Accounts to join their PMO team. This role is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of Vention's major orders, which typically involve high-value, multi-line assemblies executed by the operations team for large industrial clients. The position requires rigorous planning, tight financial control, disciplined contract management, effective technical change management, and proactive client communication. Reporting directly to the Director of the PMO, the Project Manager will operate at the intersection of sales transfer, operational execution, supply chain, and client success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a project management, technical coordination, or program management role in a dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing contracts, change requests, and commercial milestones with industrial or major clients.
  • Proven ability to maintain relevant project reports and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Experience with project planning tools (Asana or equivalent).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; French is a significant asset.
  • Strong cross-functional coordination skills; comfortable working with sales, operations, supply chain, and finance teams.

Nice To Haves

  • CAPM certification (or working towards PMP certification), demonstrating a commitment to project management as a professional discipline.
  • Knowledge of industrial automation, robotics, or hardware manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with ERP systems or supply chain management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the complete lifecycle of major projects: pre-sales involvement, kickoff, planning, milestone tracking, shipping, and financial closure.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project plans using Vention's planning tools.
  • Monitor project health and proactively identify risks related to schedules, scope, or costs; escalate them promptly to the Director of the PMO and relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain project data in existing tracking and accountability tools.
  • Collaborate closely with operations and supply chain teams to ensure parts availability, production readiness, and on-time shipments.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for major clients from sales transfer through delivery and initial post-delivery support (resolving quality issues and installation challenges).
  • Manage client communications clearly and professionally; establish and maintain realistic expectations regarding scope, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Track contractual obligations, change requests, and commercial milestones in close collaboration with sales and finance teams.
  • Escalate and resolve commercial or contractual issues in partnership with the Director of the PMO and the sales team.
  • Collaborate closely with sales, operations, supply chain, finance, and engineering teams to align priorities and remove delivery obstacles.
  • Coordinate activities with the Implementation and Partner Programs Manager when projects involve third-party automation or execution partners.
  • Act as a liaison between the field and product teams: gather recurring delivery issues and provide structured improvement proposals to engineering and product development teams.
