This position will be responsible for day-to-day supervisory activities in the DOH-Seminole clinic. The clinic is responsible for administering DOH-Seminole’s Family Planning, Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STD) and HIV programs, School Physicals, and Immunizations. Under the direction of the Executive Community Health Nursing Director, this position spends most of the time engaged in supervisory responsibilities. This includes communicating with, motivating, training, and evaluating employees in addition to planning and directing employees' work. The incumbent has the authority to hire, transfer, suspend, lay off, recall, promote, discharge, assign, reward, or discipline subordinate employees or effectively recommend such action. The incumbent will also be required to develop performance expectations, meet with staff regularly to discuss performance, complete performance reviews, maintain vacation and work schedules, ensuring proper coverage, and complete timesheets. The Senior Community Health Nursing Supervisor is responsible for the direct supervision of all Clinic operations. Will also attend interagency meetings to collaborate in maximizing and improving service delivery to our target population. Other primary duties and responsibilities outlined below. Develop and implement policies and procedures for the clinic and complete Family Planning and HMS reports as directed. This position will conduct continuous quality improvement activities to ensure clinical measures are being met and assess and respond to budgetary needs. Quality improvement initiatives may exam outcomes in the Title X/family Planning Program, Immunizations Program, requirements. The SCHNS will assist and fill in as a nurse in the DOH-Seminole clinic as needed or as directed by the DOH-Seminole Executive Community Health Nursing Director.
