About The Position

Adyen is seeking a Senior Communications Business Partner to join their Internal Communications team, focusing on scaling communications for the global Tech organization (Product & Engineering). This role is crucial for building communication systems and content that connect, collaborate, and drive impact for thousands of Tech colleagues worldwide. The position is based in San Francisco, with a need for autonomy, comfort with ambiguity, sharp decision-making, and flexibility to travel to Amsterdam several times a year, as the team spans both locations.

Requirements

At least 10+ years of experience in internal communications, preferably supporting technology or product teams in a global organization.
Ability to think big-picture while also focusing on details.
Strong listening skills, with the ability to ask insightful questions and engage in constructive challenges.
Collaborative spirit, adept at partnering with diverse teams in a dynamic environment.
Excellent storytelling and writing skills, capable of simplifying complexity.
Skilled in building trust with stakeholders and aligning across teams.
Comfortable in a fast-paced, scaling environment and able to establish structure.
Curiosity to understand the Tech function deeply.
Flexibility to travel to Amsterdam several times a year.

Responsibilities

Serve as a strategic partner to Tech leadership, shaping and executing internal communications aligned with business priorities.
Design a communications matrix that functions effectively across global, local, and functional levels.
Act as a multiplier by creating scalable communication approaches that empower teams rather than bottleneck them.
Lead content strategy and storytelling for significant Tech events, announcements, and initiatives.
Develop communication plans that provide clarity, consistency, and momentum for cross-functional programs.
Translate complex technical topics into clear, compelling narratives suitable for diverse audiences.
Introduce creative, non-traditional communication approaches.
