About The Position

Join our Business Partnering team and play a critical role in shaping people outcomes that enable organisational performance and strategic success across the University. Working within a portfolio-based model, you will partner closely with senior leaders to align workforce strategies with business priorities, providing expert advice and solutions across the employee lifecycle. We currently have ongoing and fixed-term opportunities supporting both academic and professional portfolios. As a trusted strategic advisor, you will leverage deep HR expertise and business acumen to influence decision-making, drive organisational effectiveness, and support leaders through complex people challenges. You will lead the delivery of strategic workforce initiatives, including talent and succession planning, organisational design, culture and engagement programs, change management, and the implementation of key people strategies aligned to the University's objectives. In partnership with senior stakeholders, you will identify emerging workforce trends, mitigate people-related risks, and champion initiatives that enhance capability, performance, and employee experience. You will also play a key role in enterprise-wide change initiatives, ensuring effective implementation and sustainable adoption across your portfolio. Success in this role will be underpinned by your ability to build trusted relationships and influence across all levels of the organisation, while collaborating closely with HR Centres of Excellence and broader HR teams to deliver integrated, data-informed people solutions. Requirements

  • Demonstrated HR Business Partnering experience in a complex, medium to large organisation operating within a Centres of Expertise and Shared Services model.
  • Proven ability to influence and deliver strategic people initiatives across workforce planning, talent management, organisational change, performance, and capability development.
  • Strong track record of building trusted relationships with senior leaders and providing strategic advice that supports business outcomes.
  • Highly developed analytical skills, with the ability to translate workforce data and insights into evidence-based recommendations and actions.
  • Strong business acumen and a demonstrated ability to align people strategies with organisational priorities, driving continuous improvement and organisational effectiveness.
