About The Position

Optro is seeking a Senior Commercial Counsel to join its expanding legal team and primarily support enterprise deals and West Coast Area Directors and their teams. The role independently leads legal negotiations with customers and provides guidance on transactions such as subscription agreements, data processing agreements, partner agreements, and vendor agreements. The Senior Commercial Counsel will also help shape initiatives to streamline Optro’s contracting process as the company scales.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of in-house transactional experience involving direct interaction with potential customers, partners, vendors, and internal stakeholders and executives, including sales and information security.
• At least 5 years of experience negotiating SaaS agreements, amendments, and order forms with enterprise customers.
• Understanding of the full contract lifecycle, from NDA and internal approvals through completion of the signature process.
• Strong interpersonal approach when working through deals with internal and external stakeholders.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency editing and managing contracts using Microsoft Office and Google product suites.
• Growth mindset and ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple concurrent projects and tasks to completion within required time frames.
• Team-oriented approach, flexibility in addressing unique issues in real time, and judgment about when to involve others.
• Licensed to practice law and in good standing in the state of residence.
