About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Commercial Banking Relationship Manager for clients with annual revenue of $25MM to $100MM supporting the San Antonio and South Texas market as part of the Commercial Bank. In this role, you will develop, retain, and grow a portfolio of moderately complex commercial client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor by understanding client priorities, anticipating needs, and delivering tailored solutions. You will lead relationship strategy and execution, including structuring, modifying, and renewing cash flow and real estate loans, while partnering with senior peers on more complex transactions. Deliver the full suite of Wells Fargo solutions by engaging product partners and leveraging deep knowledge of client businesses, strategic objectives, and financial positions. Drive initiatives and guide team performance, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures while meeting deliverables within the Commercial Banking Relationship Management group. Collaborate across internal teams to resolve client issues, improve processes, and mitigate risk; may lead projects or mentor less experienced colleagues. Maintain a disciplined sales pipeline and relationship development plan, balancing portfolio management responsibilities with proactive new business generation across an assigned territory. Drive business development efforts by cultivating new client relationships through existing networks, centers of influence, referral sources, community involvement, and proactive market outreach across San Antonio and South Texas. Provide market and client feedback to product management teams to influence innovation and enhance credit solutions. Develop and execute a market coverage strategy across San Antonio and South Texas, leveraging in-person meetings, virtual engagement, and strategic calling efforts to efficiently serve clients throughout the region.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of Commercial Banking Relationship Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Strong knowledge of core banking products and services, including commercial lending and treasury management
  • Completion of a formal credit training program, demonstrating advanced proficiency in credit risk assessment, financial analysis, and deal structuring
  • Established professional network within San Antonio and the broader South Texas commercial market with demonstrated ability to convert market connectivity into new relationship opportunities
  • Proven history managing high value commercial relationships within the $25MM to $100MM revenue segment, consistently delivering strategic advice and tailored financial solutions to clients
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across teams to deliver comprehensive solutions to clients and prospects
  • History of generating new client relationships and building long-term partnerships
  • Experience identifying and mitigating risk while ensuring compliance with policies and procedures
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
