About The Position

Penske Media Corp. is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Collection Specialist to manage accounts receivable for several subsidiaries in their digital and print media business. This role will partner with the Accounting/Finance team, as well as Account Executives and Agencies, and is responsible for minimizing the time between invoice billing and payment collection. PMC values in-person collaboration and team cohesion, with employees working onsite 4 days a week and 1 day remotely, focusing on maintaining a vibrant and inclusive culture.

Requirements

• At least 3-5 years of Collection and/or Accounts Receivable experience
• Detail oriented and great verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in Excel

Responsibilities

• Contacting customers for payment of past due invoices via verbal and written communication
• Research and resolve billing/collection related issues as they arise to ensure prompt resolution and payment
• Reconcile the account receivable ledger to determine the payments are accurately posted
• Follow-up on inquiries, negotiate with past due accounts and recommend accounts to be referred to outside collections agency
• Processing invoices via client portal
• Provide assistance to the invoice/billing team in the way of cash applications
• Work closely with Collection Manager and Management on an ongoing basis to track collection efforts and to respond to individual requests regarding account information and/or analysis
• Prepare and Distribute weekly reporting via Excel
• Prioritizing and managing multiple responsibilities
