Senior CNC (Computer Numerical Control) Programmer

Rolls-Royce•Aiken, SC
•$94,160 - $153,010

About The Position

The Senior CNC Programmer will define and own CNC machining strategies for complex, high-value components, including connecting rods, engine blocks, cylinder heads, and other large machined parts across multiple materials and machining conditions. The role develops, programs, simulates, and maintains advanced CNC programs for multi-axis machining centers, ensuring alignment with design intent, dimensional requirements, and manufacturing constraints. The position leads CNC program prove-out, commissioning, and optimization on the shop floor, independently troubleshooting and refining programs to achieve stable, capable, repeatable production. It serves as the senior technical authority for CNC programming in the machining area, providing direction and mentoring to programmers and manufacturing engineers. The role also drives improvements in cycle time, tooling, cost efficiency, quality, and process robustness, and develops reusable machining strategies and standards across part families and machining cells. This position is within Rolls-Royce Power Systems in North America. The listed locations are Aiken, SC, and Graniteville, SC. The posted annual pay range is $94,160–$153,010. Rolls-Royce describes its work as developing and supporting power solutions for energy, industrial, marine, and defense sectors, including gas and diesel engines and electrified hybrid systems.
