A CMP (Chemical Mechanical Polishing) Equipment Engineer is a specialized technical professional responsible for the installation, maintenance, and optimization of the tools used to planarize (flatten) semiconductor wafers. The core objective of this role is to ensure that CMP tools operate with maximum availability (uptime) and stability, ensuring that the mechanical and chemical delivery systems precisely execute the process recipes to achieve nanometer-scale flatness without introducing defects.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a closely related field
• Proficiency in Technical Documentation: Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, electrical schematics
• Hands-on Equipment or Instruments Competency: Demonstrated ability to be successful with physical interaction with hardware
• Safety Certifications and Compliance Knowledge Certification or documented training in LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) and OSHA (or equivalent regional) general industry safety standards
• Field Experience (Commissioning/Installation): A minimum of 4 years of experience in equipment commissioning, field service, or industrial maintenance.
