About The Position

The Senior Cloud Engineer will support commercial cloud services infrastructure for a managed service provider delivering hosting and managed cloud services in public clouds, including Microsoft Azure and AWS, and private clouds. The role involves cloud migration, secure network transport, infrastructure automation, CI/CD support, and applying DoD security requirements and vulnerability management practices.

Requirements

• Experience in computer science or IT.
• CompTIA Security+ certification or equivalent IA certification.
• A cloud computing environment certification, such as Azure Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
• Active security clearance.
• Mid- to senior-level cloud engineering experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience successfully managing several large projects.
• Strong experience with IPsec/VPN, other secure transport technologies, and Border Gateway Protocol (BGP).
• Proven experience moving on-premises applications to the cloud.
• Understanding of network, storage, server, and application technologies.
• Strong knowledge of automation concepts, tools, and scripting languages, such as Ansible, Terraform, Python, PowerShell, Bash, Puppet, and Chef.
• Working knowledge of code repository tools such as Git.
• Working knowledge of DoD STIGs and IA Vulnerability Management (IAVM).
• CI/CD pipeline experience, such as Jenkins, Travis CI, or AWS CodeDeploy.

Nice To Haves

• Experience automating routine administrative tasks.
• Senior IT networking experience or equivalent.
