About The Position

The Southcentral Foundation (SCF) Senior Clinician is responsible for providing clinical mentoring of other staff members on developing effective customer relationships. May have supervisory duties of clinical staff. Responsibilities include delivering direct clinical care, conducting risk assessments for suicide, violence, self-injury, and other high-risk behaviors, managing complex cases, and providing brief interventions. Senior Clinicians serve as mentors and role models for documentation standards, support quality improvement efforts, and provide guidance to the clinical team. They act as a liaison between program leadership and direct care teams to address clinical and operational needs while developing leadership skills. This role requires strong interpersonal communication and the ability to offer real-time clinical guidance.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in behavioral health field including Counseling, Psychology or Social Work; or PhD or Psy.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology.
  • Current License as an LPC, LMFT, LCSW or Psychologist.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
  • Two (2) years of clinical experience post licensure in a multidisciplinary environment OR demonstrated proficiency as a BHC II, Clinician II, or Crisis Clinician.
  • Obtain an Approved Counselor Supervisor Certification from the Alaska Board of Professional Counselors within two years of hire.
  • Compliance with Employee Health Procedure, including job-related employee health screening and immunizations prior to the first day of employment.
  • Documentation of completed immunizations (MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Influenza, T-dap, and COVID-19) prior to the first day of employment for Health Care Personnel (HCP) positions.

  • ACLS, NRP, ATLS, ALSO and PALS as required for specialty.
