About The Position

Help shape the future of robotic-assisted interventions by bringing clinical insights, physician perspectives, and scientific evidence together to accelerate breakthrough innovations that improve patient outcomes. You will be part of a Breakthrough Innovation Team (BRITE) in the Innovation & Design Department reporting to Director, Clinical Innovation. Your role: Serve as a key clinical expert within Philips' Breakthrough Innovation Team (BRITE), partnering with physicians, engineers, product managers, and researchers to translate emerging clinical needs into innovative robotic solutions. Your work will directly influence product strategy, innovation roadmaps, and the development of next-generation image-guided therapy technologies. Lead and support clinical collaborations with Key Opinion Leaders, research institutions, and healthcare partners, helping to design and execute studies, including usability, phantom, animal, clinical and other evidence-generation activities. Through these interactions, you will gather critical clinical insights, evaluate new technologies, and help validate innovations that address unmet clinical needs. In this highly collaborative role, you will contribute to clinical research programs, scientific publications, and technology assessments while serving as the bridge between clinicians and technical teams. You will also support internal clinical education, physician engagement (including coordination & execution of physician visits), and conference demonstrations, while working onsite with a multidisciplinary innovation team in Cambridge, MA. Partner with cross-functional teams including R&D, Product Management, Systems Engineering, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, and Usability to ensure clinical workflow requirements, procedural considerations, and physician feedback are incorporated into product design and validation activities. Continuously monitor developments in clinical practice, emerging technologies, and scientific literature to ensure that product development activities remain aligned with evolving clinical needs and future market opportunities. Travel expected up to 20%.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree (or 5+ years with a Master's degree) in Clinical Research, Clinical Science, Medical Affairs, Nursing, Radiologic Technology, Biomedical Sciences, Medical Device Development, or a related healthcare field.
  • Experience within neurovascular, image-guided therapy, interventional, or robotic medical technologies is strongly preferred.

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing, Radiologic Technology, Biomedical Sciences, Biotechnology, Pharmacology, Clinical Research, or a related discipline.
  • Excellent communicator and relationship builder who thrives in multidisciplinary and fast-paced environments.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic innovation environment.

  • Cath lab experience is a plus.
  • Advanced clinical/scientific education or PhD is a plus.
  • Experience working with Key Opinion Leaders, conducting clinical collaborations, being involved in training activities, and supporting innovation programs is highly valued.
