About The Position

Raytheon is seeking a talented and motivated Senior Systems Engineer to join our team within the Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SETC) Discipline, supporting the LTAMDS and GhostEye Radars. This role offers a unique opportunity to work across the full lifecycle of the product, from concept to deployment. In this Systems Engineer role, you will perform and/or support the following activities: Core Systems Engineering: Develop requirements and algorithms, concepts of operations, system trades, and system interfaces. Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE): Develop and maintain detailed SysML descriptive system models, linking and synchronization of requirements, and generate design documentation / views. Interface with cross functional teams, such as Electrical and Software engineering, to help guide subsystem development and ensure compliance with requirements throughout the entire product lifecycle. Frequent interface with Customer and other program stakeholders and collaborators. Conduct and/or support technical peer reviews and provide constructive feedback; Document and provide technical guidance to other members of the design team. Communicate technical topics and issues in a clear and concise manner to both technical peers and non-technical team members. This role is based ~100% onsite at a customer facility in Cambridge, MA.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Minimum of 5 years of prior engineering experience
  • Experience with systems requirements, systems software, and systems hardware
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Secret - Current Security Clearance
  • Active and existing security clearance required on day 1

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with systems integration and/or systems test is a plus
  • Experience with DOORs, MBSE, and Cameo / MagicDraw
  • Experience in software, hardware, electrical and/or mechanical design
  • Experience in requirements development, design, verification, and validation
  • Experience syncing and tracing requirements between DOORs and SysML modeling tools such as Cameo / MagicDraw
  • Experience managing trade studies and design decisions
  • Experience effectively presenting ideas to senior level stakeholders
  • Experience in all phases of development: concept, requirements, design, implementation, and test
  • Experience supporting design reviews during all phases of development
  • 10 or more years of experience on DoD and/or space programs
