Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center (BMDACC) Clinical Trials combines the expertise of Banner Health, one of the country’s largest non-profit hospital systems, with the internationally renowned MD Anderson Cancer Center. We provide the quality care of MD Anderson to Arizona and Colorado patients, ensuring they benefit from top-tier cancer treatment close to home. BMDACC conducts Phases I-III clinical trials covering all Oncology disease groups with the goal to provide support to the physician investigators and to provide trial treatment options to the patients in a safe and ethical manner, while ensuring compliance to the FDA, billing entities, and institutional regulations. As a Senior Clinical Research Financial Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring financial accuracy and compliance across clinical research studies. Your responsibilities will include conducting comprehensive Medicare Coverage Analysis for new studies and amendments, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements. You will build out Protocol Cost Assessments (PCAs) based on the Schedule of Activities (SOA) outlined in study protocols, maintaining consistency and accuracy between both documents. Additionally, you will complete detailed justifications to support payment determinations for services and items, clearly documenting the rationale behind coverage decisions. You will be responsible for updating PCA templates as changes occur, ensuring all documentation reflects current standards and requirements. Your role will involve leading budget negotiations for protocol amendments and reviewing Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS) budget amendment rebuilds to verify accuracy. Furthermore, you will monitor and respond to the finance general email inbox, providing timely follow-up and resolution to inquiries and issues as they arise. POSITION SUMMARY This position provides pre-initiation research study evaluation including cost, coverage, and overall financial benefit analysis. Ensures analytical evaluations provide relevant and complete measures of cost, revenue, and billing projections and processing. Ensures regulatory compliance and financial coverage. Develops and maintains effective project relationships. Translates medical service priorities into effective research development activities and support allocations to ensure research leads to desired outcomes consistent with organizational goals.
