About The Position

This position will serve as a Senior Clinical Research Coordinator within the UNC Kidney Center. The Senior Clinical Research Coordinator is responsible for the planning, organization, conduct, and evaluation of multi-faceted clinical research protocols, including study execution, developing strategies and solutions to improve study processes and execution, providing reviews of other team members’ work product, and serving as mentor and subject matter expert.

Requirements

• Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to work and communicate with diverse populations effectively and professionally.
• At least 2 years of full time experience in clinical research as a Research Coordinator, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers, and clients.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, including adeptness at time management.
• Strong software and computer skills and the ability to troubleshoot

Nice To Haves

• Experience supporting kidney related or nephrology clinical research studies.
• Significant patient facing experience in a clinical research setting.
• Demonstrated experience independently developing, implementing, and maintaining study protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Advanced regulatory experience, including oversight of clinical research compliance and independent preparation and submission of IRB applications, amendments, continuing reviews, and reportable events.
