About The Position

This open competitive advertisement is for a Career Service position located at Central Office in Tallahassee, FL in Inmate Appeals. The mission of Inmate Appeals within the Florida Department of Corrections (FDC) is to ensure that inmate grievances and appeals are reviewed and addressed in a fair, impartial, and timely manner. This position is not a telework position and is required to report to the FDC office in the area it serves.

Requirements

  • Must possess a high school diploma or its equivalent.
  • Must have one (1) year of experience using Microsoft Suite programs.
  • Must have one (1) year of experience in data entry and utilizing data bases and tracking systems.

Responsibilities

  • Enters, updates and completes data for Management Information Network.
  • Inputs, updates and finalizes data in electronic file of the Bureau’s IGLOGS database using a computer video terminal.
  • Extracts data from the electronic files and Management Information Network under direction of supervisory staff through use of computer video terminal and printer.
  • Assists in the maintenance of hard copy file.
  • May perform typing or other such clerical duties.
  • Completes the minimum of hours of annual training w/ emphasis on skills and abilities and professional development and growth.
