About The Position

This Senior Clerk plays a critical role in ensuring compliance with multiple regulatory programs by implementing and maintaining systems for registrations and authorizations. The incumbent is responsible for evaluating registration applications, collecting and processing associated fees, and compiling annual program data to support reporting and oversight requirements. Through accurate recordkeeping, timely processing, and effective coordination with stakeholders, this role safeguards program integrity, promotes operational efficiency, and upholds applicable laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • Skill in basic computer operations, keyboard data entry and typing.
  • Ability to sort data numerically.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions, review data for accuracy and completeness.
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, courteously, and professionally, establish and maintain working relationships with others.
  • At least two years of verifiable related experience.
  • Post-secondary degrees from an accredited college or university may be used as an alternative for the required years of experience on a year-for-year basis.
  • A credential evaluation report from an approved agency must be submitted along with all foreign degrees.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Successful completion of background screening will be required for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain systems for registrations/authorizations for multiple regulatory programs. This includes evaluation of registration applications, fee collection, compilation of annual reports, and maintenance of database systems that provide rapid access to current and historical information.
  • Prepare reports on registrations/notifications.
  • Ensure that data provided to the agency's information systems meets standards for completeness and accuracy.
  • Assist with ESSA development and maintenance for the waste registration programs.
  • Review for quality assurance of Source Separated Organics Processing Facility and Waste Tire Registrations.
  • Responsible for data entry of new and revised information submitted to the section in registration-related documents.
  • Enters new and revised information accurately and in a timely manner and verifies input.
  • Performs necessary database searches to identify duplicate entries.
  • Responsible for handling payments received within Division of Waste Management and complete all required procedures set forth in accordance with department policy and goals; including the cash receiving application process.
  • Organizes and prepares registration documents for scanning into Oculus after data entry is completed.
  • Coordinates with other section staff in preparing invoices, placards, letters, and decals for distribution to registered owners and operators.
  • Provides assistance (via telephone/email/facsimile/correspondence) to owner, operators, and program staff on registration and payment issues.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
