About The Position

This open competitive advertisement is for an OPS (Other Personal Services) position located at Central Office in Tallahassee, FL in the Classification department. Our mission in the Classification Department is to accurately assess and classify inmates based on their needs, risks, and behaviors. We ensure appropriate housing and program placements within the correctional system. Our goal is to enhance safety and security while promoting effective rehabilitation, ultimately aiding in the successful reintegration of inmates into society. This position is not a Telework position and is required to report to the FDC office in the area it serves.

Requirements

• Must possess a high school diploma or its equivalent.
• Must possess two (2) years of experience working with confidential information.
• Must possess two (2) years of experience working with records.
• Must possess two (2) years of experience with Microsoft Office application/suite.

Responsibilities

• Answer multi-phone lines.
• Responds to general phone records request.
• Tracks written record request and searches.
• Preforms document searches in response to written and phone request.
• Track subpoenas.
