About The Position

This open competitive advertisement is for a Career Service position located at Martin Correctional Institution in the Classification Department. The purpose of the Classification Department is to accurately assess and classify inmates based on their needs, risks, and behaviours. We ensure appropriate housing and program placements within the correctional system. Requirements

• Must possess a high school diploma or it's equivalent.
• Must possess three years of clerical experience.

Responsibilities

• Preparing correspondence, memorandums, and typing essential forms and documents.
• Maintaining inmate files, conducting audits on new inmates, and preparing necessary forms.
• Inputting data into the CDC database, retrieving and printing information, and maintaining classification documentation.
• Receiving, date stamping, sorting and distributing mail, as well as handling, copying scanning, and faxing of documents.
• Answering phone calls professionally, assisting inmate families, and taking on special projects and other clerical duties as assigned.
