Working under minimal supervision, incumbent applies expert knowledge required for development, implementation, and interpretation of compensation plans, pay practices, market pay analysis, position classification, and labor market trends. At this level, possesses organizational knowledge, understanding, and the ability to handle complex issues/problems and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff. The Ideal Candidate Will: Serve as a trusted compensation advisor by partnering with department leaders to provide strategic guidance on classification, compensation, market trends, and pay decisions while building strong, collaborative relationships. Analyze complex compensation data by conducting market analyses, salary studies, job evaluations, and classification reviews to develop equitable, competitive, and legally compliant compensation recommendations. Communicate with confidence and influence by presenting complex compensation information clearly to employees, leadership, and executive stakeholders while exercising sound judgment, professionalism, and discretion in politically sensitive situations.
