About The Position

This role involves independently managing moderate-severity Bodily Injury and Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist (UM/UIM) claims from investigation through resolution. It is not a field adjusting position. The representative will utilize expertise in coverage analysis, liability determination, negotiation, and litigation management to achieve fair and timely outcomes for customers. Additionally, there is an opportunity to mentor less experienced colleagues and contribute to a collaborative claims team.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of casualty claims adjusting experience, including Bodily Injury, Auto Liability, UM/UIM, or comparable injury claims.
  • Experience evaluating coverage, liability, damages, and attorney-represented claims.
  • Strong investigative, analytical, decision-making, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage a caseload, balance competing priorities, and communicate effectively with varied claim stakeholders.
  • Strong business judgment, organization, written communication, and attention to detail.
  • Bachelor’s degree, associate degree with relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Insurance designations, claims certifications, or completion of a casualty claims training program are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Independently manage moderate-severity Bodily Injury and UM/UIM claims from initial investigation through resolution.
  • Analyze coverage, determine liability, evaluate damages, establish appropriate reserves, and negotiate fair settlements.
  • Conduct comprehensive investigations using statements, reports, medical records, and other supporting documentation.
  • Manage litigated and attorney-represented claims in partnership with defense counsel, experts, medical providers, and other stakeholders.
  • Identify fraud indicators, subrogation opportunities, claim exposures, and regulatory considerations.
  • Provide timely, professional communication and exceptional service to customers, claimants, attorneys, and business partners.
  • Maintain accurate claim documentation while meeting quality and productivity expectations.
  • Mentor less experienced colleagues and contribute to continuous improvement across the team.
