Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; or 2+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
  • Experience with vendor negotiations, contract management, and strategic sourcing.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, supply chain management, and supplier negotiations.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • The ability to analyze data, assess risk, and make thoughtful purchasing decisions.
  • Experience with procurement software and ERP systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Own the procurement process from start to finish, ensuring purchases are efficient, cost-effective, and aligned with company policies.
  • Identify and secure best-value suppliers who can consistently meet our business and project needs.
  • Execute procurement processes in accordance with departmental SOPs and risk-management strategies.
  • Build strong supplier relationships with manufacturers, vendors, and strategic partners.
  • Hold suppliers accountable to MMFS standards for quality, pricing, service, and delivery.
  • Monitor supplier performance and proactively address issues before they become bigger problems.
  • Partner cross-functionally with engineering, estimating, sales, project management, and other stakeholders to understand needs and deliver solutions.
  • Communicate proactively and provide practical solutions based on regional, operational, and project-specific requirements.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for supplier and vendor communications.
  • Train, mentor, and develop team members to strengthen procurement capabilities and service delivery.
  • Identify opportunities to improve purchasing workflows, eliminate inefficiencies, and make it easier for our teams to get what they need.
  • Drive process improvements and cost savings while protecting supply chain continuity.
