Job Purpose and Impact The Senior Buyer, Parts & Equipment, leads the development and execution of complex regional sourcing strategies to deliver value across cost, risk, continuity, and supplier performance. This role partners with stakeholders and key suppliers to align category priorities, leveraging strong market insight and relationship management to influence outcomes. Operating with a high degree of autonomy, the Senior Buyer drives category strategy execution and ensures adoption of procurement best practices. This role also strengthens team capability through continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR equivalent experience
  • Minimum of four years of related work experience

  • Experience in Parts or Equipment sourcing
  • Experience with SAP

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end execution of complex regional sourcing strategies and events
  • Develop and execute category strategies aligned to business and stakeholder priorities
  • Build deep expertise in regional spend, supply markets, and stakeholder landscape
  • Influence and align cross-functional stakeholders and key suppliers to drive outcomes
  • Manage strategic supplier relationships to deliver value (cost, innovation, sustainability, performance)
  • Drive business continuity through proactive supply and risk mitigation planning
  • Lead contract strategy, negotiations, and supplier performance management
  • Analyze market and spend data to inform sourcing decisions and recommendations
  • Operate independently to resolve complex procurement challenges
  • Champion continuous improvement and adoption of procurement best practices
  • Provide coaching and guidance to Associate and Professional Buyers, delegate tactical work as appropriate
  • Contribute to broader team and category planning, insights, and execution
  • Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
