Arlington, VA | In office, Monday – Friday The Senior Business Systems Analyst is a hands-on role focused on the administration, support, and continuous operation of key financial and operational systems. This position plays a critical role in ensuring systems are reliable, well-maintained, and aligned with SOX and ITGC controls, with a strong emphasis on day-to-day application ownership, user support, and configuration management across platforms such as Oracle EPM, Concur, and Stripe. This role reports to the Senior Manager, Financial Systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, or related field, from an accredited not-for-profit, in-person college/university
  • A track record of commitment to prior employers
  • 4+ years of experience in financial application support (such as Oracle EPM, Concur and similar platforms), financial system administration, and Internal control compliance
  • Hands-on experience managing user access, performing maintenance, establishing reporting, and performing system configuration tasks
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and documentation skills
  • Familiarity with FP&A planning software, such as Oracle EPM, and JIRA Service Desk
  • Strong communication skills and a customer service mindset in working with non-technical stakeholders

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of experience with Oracle EPM at a large international organization
  • Certifications such as CISA, CPA, or ITIL are a plus
  • Foundational understanding of SOX and ITGC concept
  • Exposure to audit or compliance processes

Responsibilities

  • Actively support the administration and day-to-day operations of critical financial systems, with a primary focus on application functionality, user support, performance, and stability.
  • Manage user provisioning, roles, and security groups within Oracle EPM Cloud and Planning.
  • Support metadata updates and hierarchy maintenance.
  • Assist with forecasting and budgeting cycles.
  • Perform system administration activities such as environment refreshes, backup coordination, and routine maintenance.
  • Support Oracle Cloud ERP-related access management and configuration tasks.
  • Maintain configurations for Concur expense management, such as expense policies, mileage rates, per diem structures, and user roles.
  • Provide ongoing user support and issue resolution for Concur.
  • Assist with user administration, reporting support, operational processes, and troubleshooting for systems including Cognos, AppZen, Stripe, and Navan.
  • Coordinate with vendors as needed for various systems.
  • Handle access management tasks by processing user provisioning, deprovisioning, and role changes through ticketing systems, ensuring all access is properly approved, documented, and compliant with internal controls.
  • Maintain system documentation and support knowledge management efforts.
  • Support SOX and ITGC control activities, including user access reviews, audit evidence collection, and documentation maintenance.
  • Help ensure systems remain audit-ready by maintaining accurate records of access and system changes, and supporting remediation efforts.
  • Contribute to system governance and change management activities by participating in user acceptance testing.
  • Help assess the impact of system updates on operations and controls.
  • Support updates to procedures and internal documentation.
  • Collaborate closely with Finance, IT, and Compliance teams.
  • Provide responsive support to users and clear communication regarding system issues, enhancements, and ongoing operational activities.
