Charles Schwab Inc.•Westlake, TX
•$105,600 - $200,000

About The Position

The Treasury Business Systems Analyst will serve as a senior business-side lead for the Liquidity platform modernization initiative. The role translates liquidity regulatory reporting, analytics, forecasting, stress testing, and governance needs into clear business and functional requirements; coordinates design decisions across Treasury, Risk, Finance, Data, and Technology; and helps deliver a scalable, modular, FR 2052a-first liquidity platform while preserving the stability and compliance of the existing environment. The analyst leads business analysis and requirements management across assigned workstreams from discovery and current-state assessment through design, testing, implementation, and post-production validation. They partner with Treasury subject-matter experts to define a data foundation supporting FR 2052a and related liquidity processes, and serve as the primary business liaison to technology and data teams. The role also supports phased delivery, regulatory and legacy-platform coordination, operational readiness, and governance reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in business systems analysis, business analysis, product analysis, financial systems, or data-focused technology delivery; banking, capital markets, Treasury, Risk, or regulatory reporting experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lead requirements discovery and convert complex business and regulatory concepts into business and functional requirements, nonfunctional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, data definitions, source-to-target mappings, and system use cases.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise data flows, data models, system integrations, controls, and the software development lifecycle.
  • Experience partnering with architects, developers, data engineers, quality engineers, and product owners.
  • Strong SQL and data-analysis skills, including querying large datasets, tracing transactions through multiple systems, reconciling outputs, investigating anomalies, and supporting root-cause analysis.
  • Experience with data governance and control disciplines, including data quality, lineage, metadata, issue management, audit evidence, change management, and documentation in a regulated environment.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills, including the ability to drive decisions, manage competing priorities, explain tradeoffs, and build alignment across business and technology teams.
  • Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, agile, and ambiguous environment while maintaining attention to detail, ownership, accountability, and high-quality outcomes.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of FR 2052a, LCR, NSFR, liquidity stress testing, intraday liquidity, forecasting, funds transfer pricing, or related Treasury processes.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, process-modeling tools, relational databases, cloud data platforms, and reporting or analytics tools.

  • Translate business, regulatory, and control expectations into testable requirements for calculation services, governed data assets, interfaces, workflow, adjustments, auditability, lineage, and sandbox or what-if capabilities.
  • Facilitate workshops to document current-state processes, identify pain points and manual dependencies, define target-state processes, evaluate alternatives, and secure decisions from business and technology owners.
  • Develop and maintain process maps, data-flow diagrams, business rules, data dictionaries, source-to-target mappings, functional specifications, requirements traceability, decision logs, and operating procedures.
  • Serve as the primary business liaison to technology and data teams, clarifying requirements, resolving design questions, evaluating dependencies, and ensuring solutions align with business outcomes and control requirements.
  • Use SQL and analytical techniques to profile data, validate transformation logic, reconcile results, trace defects to source, assess materiality, and support resolution of data or system issues.
  • Define business testing strategy and acceptance criteria; coordinate test planning, test data, UAT execution, defect prioritization, evidence retention, business readiness, and sign-off.
  • Support phased delivery by helping define the pilot product or data domain, validating the complete source-to-target flow, capturing lessons learned, and establishing repeatable onboarding patterns.
  • Coordinate modernization work with legacy-platform enhancements, regulatory changes, new products, production support, and transition-period compensating controls.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce spreadsheets, manual adjustments, duplicated logic, and key-person dependency while improving scalability, transparency, speed to market, operational resilience, and regulatory readiness.
  • Provide status reporting, risk and dependency escalation, decision support, and executive-ready materials for initiative leadership and governance forums.
