About The Position

The Senior Business Systems Analyst is a functional systems solution expert supporting Direct Procurement and Master Data Management processes and implementations, primarily using SAP MM, SAP MDG, and SAP S/4HANA. The role analyzes business needs, identifies and documents requirements, translates them into functional specifications and design documents, configures systems, and conducts testing. It also supports business users, integrations, reporting, application integrity, and the delivery of high-quality solutions across onsite and offshore teams.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
At least 8 years of hands-on SAP Material Management (SAP MM) configuration experience.
Data analytical skills and understanding of end-to-end Procurement and Master Data Governance processes.
Strong proficiency in business process analysis in Procurement and master data management.
Advanced MS Excel skills and ability to demonstrate data modeling.
Knowledge of SAP MM and SAP MDG integration with Supplier Collaboration, SAP Logistics, and Production Planning applications.
Experience working with business end users, gathering requirements, and developing detailed functional design specifications.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including translating business needs into functional solutions.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and interact with cross-functional teams, vendors, and business partners.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

SAP MM certification.
SAP MDG certification.
Strong functional knowledge of SAP S/4HANA MM and MDG modules.

Responsibilities

Analyze Direct Procurement and Master Data Governance processes, perform fit-gap analysis, recommend standard SAP solutions, and identify gaps.
Support Direct Procurement and Master Data Governance processes and associated business systems functions.
Identify gaps between current and future business processes and help prioritize improvement opportunities.
Gather process information from business users and propose system solutions.
Configure SAP MM, MDG, and SAP S/4HANA to satisfy business requirements.
Create functional specifications and coordinate with cross-functional and development teams to deliver technical objects.
Review and contribute to design documents, configuration documents, and functional specifications.
Conduct unit, integration, and regression testing and support end-user UAT testing.
Work with IT and business teams to optimize and streamline processes and technical solutions.
Provide input to development teams during development to ensure business needs are met.
Support reporting requirements and coordinate with the data warehousing team on management reports.
Support, assist, and train users on new or modified system configurations and their effects on business processes.
Maintain IT business system integrity and application notes, system upgrades, changes, and user updates.
Work with onsite and offshore teams, managers, and executives to ensure high-quality releases.
Follow the change management process and analyze the impact of changes to the corporate application landscape.
Serve as the primary contact for Production Planning, Shop Floor Execution, and Plant Maintenance functionality within the SAP S/4HANA Service area.
Monitor and support integrations between SAP S/4HANA MM and MDG and related modules, including PP, SD, FI/CO, QM, and PM.
Stay current with SAP best practices in Materials Management and Master Data Governance.
