About The Position

Handoff is seeking a Senior Business Operations Analyst to enhance the company's operational efficiency as it scales. This role involves collaborating with the COO on various initiatives, including operational improvements, financial analysis, strategic planning, refining internal processes, and undertaking special projects across the organization. The position is well-suited for individuals who excel at problem-solving, can work autonomously, and thrive in dynamic startup settings. Responsibilities may vary daily, from updating financial models to optimizing hiring procedures or developing company-wide dashboards. This role offers extensive exposure to the business and the opportunity to contribute directly to Handoff's operational strategies and growth.

Requirements

  • 3–7 years of experience in business operations, consulting, finance, analytics, strategy, or startup operations.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets.
  • Demonstrated ability to build financial models and analyze data.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • High level of ownership and strong follow-through.
  • Ability to work independently and solve ambiguous problems.
  • Comfortable transitioning between strategic and operational tasks.
  • Experience in a startup or fast-paced environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate Handoff's departmental planning process, including driving submissions, tracking progress, and ensuring team accountability.
  • Maintain and enhance company-wide dashboards, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and operational tools.
  • Support the creation of board decks, investor updates, and executive materials.
  • Develop and manage financial models, providing analysis for critical business decisions.
  • Monitor departmental budgets and identify any spending variances.
  • Oversee vendor relationships, contracts, and renewals.
  • Formalize work norms and operating standards to support company scaling.
  • Assist with the preparation and logistics for company all-hands meetings and regular leadership syncs.
  • Support the planning and execution of internal events and company off-sites.
