The purpose of the Senior Business Development Representative position is to generate new client revenue for Convergence Networks Managed Services Programs, IT & Cybersecurity. This is accomplished by identifying business issues and problems that can be remediated by our solutions, communicate our ability to solve these issues, and moving them through the process to sale.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated level of success in the development of client relationships (preferred MSP or Technology clients) using Solution Sales.
  • Enjoy working with customers and external audiences.
  • High energy and drive with good negotiation skills.
  • Proficient with general office applications.
  • Strong organizational, presentation, and customer service skills.
  • Skill in preparing written communications and materials.
  • Interpersonal skills: such as telephony skills, communication skills, active listening and customer-care.
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly.
  • Typing skills to ensure quick and accurate data entry.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain prospective client lists via cold calling, emails, LinkedIn outreach, working with our marketing team, hosting webinars with our engineers, etc. We welcome and encourage effective creativity when it comes to client generation ideas!
  • Conduct onsite and online presentations that showcase the services and products of the company to prospects.
  • Develop proposals, quotes, and respond to RFP/RFI documents.
  • Effectively communicate features and benefits of solutions while managing prospect expectations.
  • Track sales activities and opportunities in our CRM tool.
  • Networking and collaboration with centers-of-influence (COIs)
  • Identify and engage with Networking Groups and Associations that match our customer profile.
  • Accountability to Sales Quota attainment
  • Work with the Marketing team to develop outreach campaigns for our top segments.
  • Attend weekly sales meetings and ensure sales opportunities are compliant with company policy
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of the service catalog and how it relates to customers’ needs
  • Responsible for entering time and expenses into our ERP tool as they occur
  • Understand and manage sales pipeline in HubSpot following the defined sales process and stages
