About The Position

The Boeing Company's Defense, Space and Security (BDS), Mobility, Surveillance and Bombers (MS&B) Business Development & Strategy organization is seeking a Senior Business Development Representative (Level 5) to join the KC-46 Business Development and Strategy (BD&S) team. This role is responsible for market shaping and new business capture. The position reports to the Senior Manager of KC-46 and involves leading sales and campaign activities for both domestic and global customers. The ideal candidate will possess strong industry awareness, market environment analysis skills, and the ability to establish and manage partnerships with customers, stakeholders, and suppliers. A strong strategy background, networking skills, business and financial acumen, and the ability to collaborate with technical experts are also essential.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience leading cross-functional teams
  • Strong communication, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Experience in preparing and presenting executive level briefings
  • 5+ years of experience in a customer facing role engaging with internal and/or external customers
  • Agile and willing to work in a fast paced work environment while balancing multiple tasks concurrently and paying close attention to detail
  • 10+ years of experience working in a professional environment
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

  • 5+ years of experience working contracts with U.S. Department of Defense, Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) and/or Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customers

Responsibilities

  • Develop marketing and campaign win strategies
  • Manage captures, including identifying and driving the strategy for capturing new business, managing supporting investments and resources, and leading a cross-functional capture team
  • Initiate and advance customer relationships to be accepted as a trusted business partner by the customer
  • Interface directly with the customer decision makers to shape the market and optimize the business cases for new products, technologies and services
  • Consult and influence decisions of Boeing senior level executives regarding business goals and objectives
  • Prepare solicitation responses (RFPs, RFIs,), shape ongoing capture efforts, identify customer needs and requirements, and develop winning strategies
  • Obtain and leverage detailed understanding of the customers' processes, procedures, techniques, organizations and culture
  • Maintain an understanding of the domestic and international competitive landscape to include knowledge of competitors' products, services, and activities and their impact on our competitive position
