About The Position

We’re growing fast, and every hire matters. Across 275+ stores, distribution centers, and our Store Support Center, hiring at scale relies on strong systems, smart processes, and clear execution. As a Senior Business Development Manager, you lead the engine behind Floor & Decor’s commercial growth. You’re responsible for building and developing a team that drives new customer acquisition, strengthens pipelines, and expands key accounts. Your leadership ensures our commercial strategy isn’t just defined—it’s executed in the market, where it directly impacts revenue and long-term customer relationships.

Requirements

  • 5–7+ years of business development, sales leadership, or account management experience, preferably in commercial flooring, building materials, or construction
  • Proven success leading high-performing sales teams and delivering against growth targets
  • Strong communication, coaching, and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and disciplined pipeline and data management
  • Ability to analyze market trends, identify growth opportunities, and translate insights into strategic action
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally to align sales strategy with operational execution

Responsibilities

  • Leading, mentoring, and developing Business Development Managers to ensure consistent achievement of growth, pipeline creation, and account engagement goals
  • Conducting regular performance reviews, providing coaching, and ensuring adherence to effective prospecting, research, and territory strategy practices
  • Driving adoption and disciplined use of Salesforce CRM, ensuring data accuracy and pipeline integrity
  • Building and executing commercial market growth strategies across key verticals
  • Developing strategy playbooks for new market penetration, account qualification, and customer expansion
  • Reviewing team pipelines, forecasting accuracy, and opportunity progression to meet or exceed revenue targets
  • Serving as the liaison between BDMs and Regional Account Managers, Operations, Support, and Sales Leadership
  • Partnering with merchandising, logistics, and operations to ensure commercial customer expectations are met
  • Overseeing market research activities and translating insights on competitors, customer feedback, and construction trends into actionable growth strategies
  • Supporting BDMs in developing relationships with key decision-makers; participating in strategic customer meetings, presentations, and negotiations
