About The Position

We're looking for a motivated and driven Senior Business Development Manager who will help us grow our business, foster our long-lasting partnerships, and drive the company to the next level. About the Role Work with the Global Lead of Cooperation Business in Germany as well as the CEO North America, managing and forming relationships with intercity bus operators who partner with FlixBus and Greyhound to offer integrated ticketing and seamless connections across our nationwide network. Identify new business opportunities and are accountable for setting and delivering on targets by presenting our business model, negotiating contracts, and ultimately securing new partnerships while simultaneously managing the accounts of the partnerships that you secure. Work cross-functionally with teams including Operations, Network Planning, Government Relations, Legal, and Finance in their joint work with the Business Development team. Manage and optimize our acquisition and contract processes, demonstrating a keen understanding of our legal partnership structures.

Requirements

  • 5+ years previous experience as a high performer in a Business Development or Consulting organization enabling multi-million $ partnerships, in a highly cross-functional matrix organization.
  • Strong commercial sense and enjoy taking over P&L responsibilities.
  • An excellent communicator, both verbal and written and maneuver challenging situations.
  • Implemented processes to ensure sales and account management excellence.
  • Comfortable in a startup environment: entrepreneurial spirit, full of ambition, analytically minded, data-driven, and not afraid of rapid change.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the transportation industry, at a technology platform, or with government agencies is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Willingness to travel 25% of time.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and form relationships with intercity bus operators who partner with FlixBus and Greyhound to offer integrated ticketing and seamless connections across our nationwide network.
