Collins is looking to hire a Senior Requirements & Capabilities (R & C) Manager (Weapons Guidance) for our Mission Systems segment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in guided weapon system and/or UAS employment. This position will require interfacing with weapons prime contractors, US DoD, and international weapons developers. Candidate will have a thorough understanding of program requirements development, funding processes, and be comfortable interacting with guided and networked weapons subject matter experts. Position can be located near the following Collins Aerospace site locations: Cedar Rapids IA, Richardson TX, El Segundo CA, Largo, FL, Marlborough, MA, DC area. However, we will consider 100% Remote for exceptional candidates.

Requirements

Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience
Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret Security Clearance is required prior to start date.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Experience identifying and capturing new business involving guided weapons systems and/or UAS
Experience with the development of concept of operations for guided/networked weapon systems and/or UAS
Experience developing compelling strategic and business growth opportunities and briefing them to senior internal and external stakeholders
Experience identifying solutions in a fast-paced environment where requirements are loosely defined

Nice To Haves

Active Top Secret Security Clearance preferred
Previous work experience with a guided weapon system prime contractor
Significant guided weapon concept of operation development experience
Direct experience employing or planning for the use of guided weapons within the US DoD

Responsibilities

Work with a team (cross-functional and cross-enterprise) of R & C and marketing professionals in conjunction with program management and engineering leads, to identify, influence, pursue and capture new business in the portfolio
Responsibility for identifying, developing, forecasting, and capturing new opportunities and customers
Continually scans environment for business and strategic growth opportunities
Be a trusted source of information for new and upcoming guided weapon/UAS development activities
Develop and present compelling strategic and business growth opportunities that may include market and competitive analysis to senior internal stakeholders
Develops and maintains customer insight for early identification and shaping of customer requirements and our internal investment and strategies
