About The Position

As a Senior Business Data Analyst at Zekelman Industries, you will play a key role in supporting and elevating the performance of the Electrical Business Unit. This position serves as a strategic partner to sales, product management, finance, and operations leadership by transforming complex data into actionable insights that drive pricing strategy, margin expansion, and overall business performance. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop data-driven strategies, improve commercial execution, and support key business initiatives. This role is ideal for a highly analytical professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys influencing business decisions through data and strategic thinking.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in data analytics, preferably within manufacturing, industrial distribution, or related industries.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP or JD Edwards.
  • Working knowledge of SQL or similar data querying tools.
  • Strong understanding of pricing strategy, cost structures, and margin dynamics in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and support strategic decision-making.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present insights to executive audiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to maintain regular, full-time, predictable onsite attendance.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze sales, pricing, cost, and margin performance to identify key drivers of profitability and growth.
  • Develop and maintain executive-level dashboards and KPIs to monitor commercial performance and pricing effectiveness.
  • Partner with commercial leadership to support pricing strategies, including price optimization and margin improvement initiatives.
  • Build predictive and scenario-based models to support S&OP planning and business forecasting.
  • Standardize and maintain data integrity across ERP, CRM, and BI platforms to ensure a single source of truth.
  • Conduct market, customer, and product segmentation analyses to support go-to-market strategies.
  • Support strategic initiatives such as new product launches, footprint optimization, and supply chain improvements.
  • Translate complex data analyses into clear insights and recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with IT, finance, and business teams to enhance reporting capabilities and data accessibility.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Lead and promote healthy and safe work practices as required by regulatory agencies and Company policy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
