Our cybersecurity team is seeking a Senior Business Data Analyst to work Remotely. The Business Data Analyst supports the organization by turning complex datasets into actionable insights. This role partners closely with business stakeholders to understand needs, define analytical approaches, and deliver data-driven recommendations that improve performance, optimize processes, and support strategic decision-making.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
  • Experience with data analysis tools such as SQL and Excel.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, or data warehousing concepts.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques or predictive modeling.
  • Familiarity with Agile or project management methodologies.
  • Experience working in cross-functional environments.

Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyze, and interpret large datasets from multiple sources to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Build dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborate with business partners to define KPIs, reporting requirements, and data-driven solutions.
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses to support strategic initiatives, operational improvements, and forecasting.
  • Validate data accuracy and ensure quality throughout data pipelines and reporting processes.
  • Translate business needs into analytical requirements, working with security cross functional teams as needed.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to data definitions, reports, processes, and workflows.
  • Support the development of automated reporting tools and self-service analytics capabilities.
  • Monitor business performance and proactively identify areas for improvement.
  • Present insights and recommendations to leadership in a clear, concise, and actionable manner.
