About The Position

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Business Analyst at UL Standards & Engagement. This is a hybrid opportunity based in Washington, DC OR Raleigh-Durham, NC. The Senior Business Analyst will support strategic implementation, priority initiatives and continual improvement efforts across the Standards Development portfolio to advance the mission of UL Standards & Engagement (ULSE) and Standards Development to make the world safer, more secure, and sustainable. Leveraging advanced project management experience and strong collaboration skills, the Senior Business Analyst will support strategy execution, resource planning, process improvement and project delivery to strengthen operational effectiveness and advance organization. The Senior Business Analyst will drive rigorous planning and coordination across projects, monitor progress against goals and milestones, inform resource planning efforts, and ensure that priority projects remain on track. As a trusted partner to leadership and internal teams, the Senior Business Analyst will help define business needs, assess current processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and drive execution of projects that enhance the efficiency, effectiveness and impact of the Standards Development portfolio. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum 5 years related work experience.
• Advanced application of business analysis principles and project management methodologies.
• Ability to translate strategic priorities into structured workplans and drive execution across multiple initiatives.
• Strong project management skills with experience developing comprehensive project plans, identifying and mitigating risks, and managing project resources to deliver successful outcomes.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with ability to lead project teams and effectively communicate project goals, requirements and progress to various stakeholder groups.
• Advanced problem-solving skills and experience analyzing and addressing issues with expertise in developing and implementing contingency plans.
• Strong communication, presentation and facilitation skills, with ability to communicate key concepts and information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Positive and collaborative interpersonal skills, with proven capability in fostering collaboration and partnership across teams to develop solutions with broad impact.
• Strategic thinker with ability to innovate and adapt in a dynamic industry landscape.

Nice To Haves

• Advanced degree preferred.
• Knowledge of the Standards Development process, a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide functional and operational support for the Standards Development portfolio.
• Partner with leadership to implement strategic priorities, operational goals, and key initiatives across the portfolio.
• Lead and coordinate project development for priority initiatives, ensuring projects are well defined, and organized across stakeholders, and advance in alignment against established goals.
• Manage end-to-end projects, translate strategic objectives and business needs into structured plan and execute activities across the project lifecycle and ensure timely and high-quality deliverables.
• Support ongoing project governance through clear documentation, risk management, and status reporting.
• Support resource planning by helping to assess workload, priorities, capability needs, and project demands across the portfolio and other functions.
• Lead or support process improvement efforts.
• Analyze existing processes, workflows and operating approaches to identify opportunities for continual improvement that strengthen efficiency, consistency and overall team effectiveness.
• Develop and maintain project documentation, reports, dashboards, presentations, and executive ready materials to support informed decision making.
• Drive collaboration within the team to ensure team-level goal achievement.
• Partner with external stakeholders, partners, vendors and other collaborators as needed to support project planning and implementation efforts.
• Support and facilitate internal and external meetings, prepare meeting agendas, and other deliverables.
• Maintain continued awareness of industry trends, emerging technologies and best practices to continually improve performance and effectiveness of technology solutions.
• Independently execute tasks that range in complexity and scope.
• Perform other duties as directed
