About The Position

The State of Arizona is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to serve as the primary liaison between the IT department and business units. The role gathers and documents business requirements, analyzes and improves business processes, supports application development, and coordinates testing and implementation activities for large, complex projects. The analyst provides functional guidance to developers, applies project management methods and processes to maintain business systems standards, and coordinates the work of multiple Business Analysts on complex projects.

This is a six-month assignment from the projected start date. The position is 100% onsite at 800 W. Washington St., Phoenix, Arizona, and is limited to local Phoenix candidates. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, 40 hours per week. The closing date is October 20, 2026, at 4:00 PM.

Requirements

• Strong experience in requirements gathering.
• Experience analyzing and documenting business requirements.
• Ability to translate requirements into functional specifications and use cases.
• Experience with system testing, test plans, test scripts, and test cases.
• Experience in business process analysis and improvement.
• Stakeholder communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to coordinate with developers and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary liaison between IT and multiple business units.

• Coordinate and oversee the work of multiple Business Analysts on complex projects.
