Senior Business Analyst

Ciklum•United States,

About The Position

Ciklum is seeking a full-time Senior Business Analyst to join a cross-functional development team in the US. The role supports a program consolidating multiple payment gateways into one target gateway platform. It requires deep US payments expertise and hands-on experience with TSYS card-acquiring platforms. The analyst will work with business stakeholders, solution architects, data engineers, development, migration, and QA teams, managing requirements at the program level and contributing throughout the SDLC. Experience with payment-platform migrations and working in a SAFe environment is preferred. The position focuses on gateway technical processing, processor integrations, and downstream systems rather than card products and end-to-end customer payments. The analyst will elicit and document requirements, create materials for technical teams, analyze data and migration scenarios, support testing and releases, and coordinate requirements across program streams. The role also involves planning and facilitating SAFe ceremonies, maintaining traceability, investigating production issues, and working with payment networks and industry standards.

  • Understanding of card scheme rules and transactions such as tipping, surcharges, split billing, and DCC/FX at POS; familiarity with terminal vendor protocols such as Verifone and Ingenico.
  • Understanding of card authorization, clearing, settlement, chargebacks, and reconciliation.
  • Experience with tokenization and digital wallets such as Apple Pay and Google Pay.
  • Experience working with Visa/Mastercard mandates and compliance changes.

  • At least 7 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst.
  • Deep expertise in the US payments domain, including regulatory compliance such as ACH and PCI.
  • Hands-on experience with TSYS card-acquiring platforms.
  • Technical background in SQL, APIs, system integrations, data flows, data analysis, and mapping.
  • Basic understanding of architecture principles.
  • Experience eliciting and documenting requirements and creating BRDs, FRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and data flows at the appropriate technical level.
  • Experience with UAT, integration testing, defect management, and release support.
  • Proven experience leveraging AI throughout SDLC and BA/SA workflows, and ability to adapt quickly to a wide variety of AI tools.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum/SAFe environments.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder-management, and communication skills.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, and Azure DevOps.
  • Ability to maintain at least six hours of daily working-hour overlap with North American business hours, approximately 09:00–17:00 across US Eastern to Pacific time zones.
