About The Position

Genesis10 is seeking a Senior Business Analyst for a hybrid role supporting initiatives within Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) at a global financial institution in Charlotte, North Carolina. The position is senior, business-facing, and operations-focused, requiring deep experience in financial services, Global Markets, trading, and middle-office operations. The analyst will examine complex business problems and the broader operational lifecycle around trading activity, working across trades, operations, compliance, and other business functions. The position requires onsite work three days per week and is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

Requirements

At least 10 years of relevant financial services experience.
Significant Business Analyst experience in a business-facing or operational capacity.
Demonstrated experience in Global Markets, trading, and/or middle-office operations.
Strong knowledge of financial markets and banking operations.
Experience working directly with business and operational stakeholders.
Ability to understand broader end-to-end business processes rather than focusing solely on technology requirements or an isolated process segment.
Experience analyzing complex business processes and translating findings into detailed requirements.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage stakeholder relationships.
Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.

Nice To Haves

Operations- and/or compliance-oriented Business Analyst background.
Experience within middle-office trading environments.
Hedge fund-related experience.
Global Markets or broader capital-markets experience.
Experience working at the intersection of trading, operations, compliance, and business functions.
Experience within CIB or another complex institutional banking environment.
Ability and interest in potentially converting to a full-time employee if an opportunity becomes available.

Responsibilities

Partner with Global Markets, trading, operations, compliance, and other business stakeholders to understand business needs and operational challenges.
Analyze end-to-end business and middle-office processes, identifying risks, gaps, dependencies, and opportunities for improvement.
Gather, document, challenge, and refine detailed business and functional requirements.
Understand how trades and related business activity flow through the organization and how business and operational functions interact.
Translate complex business and operational needs into clear, actionable requirements.
Engage stakeholders to identify underlying business problems beyond surface-level requests.
Evaluate impacts across business functions and operational processes.
Support initiatives affecting CIB and frontline business organizations.
Deliver high-quality analysis and documentation within established timelines and SLAs.
Communicate effectively across multiple stakeholder groups in a highly collaborative environment.
